Under this directory you
may find some simulated images in FITS format
Some documentation
about GAIA sky simulations, ordered approximately by date.
Other GAIA information may be found at ESTEC,
Lund, or Copenhagen.
The convention for filenames is:
sag_ means something circulated within the GAIA Science Advisory
Group; the second string is the origin - GG for Gerry Gilmore, CUO
for Copenhagen Univ Obs (Hoeg and co-workers), ML for Mario Lattanzi,
LL for Lennart Lindegren,
IWG for Instrument Working Group,
etc. The third string is a sequential numbering (possibly followed by f1,
f2 etc for separate figures), and finally the extension tells which
kind of file it is (txt, tex or ps).
